Wrockstock Day 1

So we made it to Wrockstock!!! We got here early, so we killed some time finding geocaches, which were super easy... just the kind we like. Stocked up on Wrock goodies in the merch room, ate supper, then waited around for the bands to start. Up first were The Moaning Myrtles! The sound in the room was really good, and these girls are amazing and super talented. I don't know much of their music, so I can't even say what songs they played, but I'm starting to realize I'll be spending more in the merch room than previously anticipated. The Moaning Myrtles = must have music. Second to play was JFF. As usual, he was very goofy and full of energy. His set was great, a lot of songs I knew (Umbridge is Dumbridge, Expelliarmus, Dumbledore is Gay (and that's OK), etc.) Love him!!! The absolute best part was when he sang Honeydukes, and then towards the end they started throwing out candy by the boxful. It was fabulous!!! And he actually closed the song by smashing his guitar on stage. Crazy! Finishing off the night was The Ministry of Magic. I'm pretty new to their stuff, but you can just tell this "boy band" has some amazing talent. (another merch room trip... ka-ching, ka-ching.) No dance party for us tonight. It's past 1am and I'm soooo tired. I'll try to keep posted as we go along!
