Today was a very long, productive, tiring, rewarding, and expensive day. I took today off so I could take my car in to the Toyota dealer and get a few things taken care of. There was a recall on it for floor corrosion, and also one for a tether anchor, and another for a brake issue. I also needed new rear brake pads, so I had that taken care of while it was there. It was pretty much an all day issue, which is why I needed to take off of work. Well, I do have floor corrosion, but I need to take it back in to get fixed this week. They are sending it somewhere else, so I get a loaner car for a few days. Yay. So my brakes are fixed, and that makes me feel better. Not the $170 part of it, but it's done. Later on, I took my car for an oil change, and then went to get an alignment. Well, it turned out I didn't need an alignment. I needed new front tires. Fine. Got that taken care of. Another $160 into my car. But now my car should be in tip-top shape, and I'll be getting the best gas mileage possible. That's the important part. I even got my annual car wash the other day. I'm on a roll here. I don't like going to the car wash very often, because it has a tendency to come into my car on the passenger side, soaking the seat. Oh well. I really do love my car though. I'm not complaining. At least 35 miles to the gallon, how could I complain? So the rest of the day consisted mostly of garage saling, despite the shitty weather. Found some more deals of course. A few more sleepers, some baby spoons, a Graco Pack N Play (a playpen) for $20, and a jumper for $5. Of course all the stuff I buy, I always offer less than what they have it marked, saving me even more money. So far I haven't been turned down. Sweet. I also found a couple puzzles, and two Star Trek movies on DVD. (My Geekhood is now undeniable.) And lastly, but certainly not least, I went to take my Motorcycle permit test today. I passed it with a 100% score. Awesome. I can now officially scoot (if Jer lets me)!
And PS: Jer and I have decided to name the baby Chipotle.
