why i shouldn't run

I've been trying and trying to motivate myself for some time to go running. So finally today, I actually did it. The run around our "block" is exactly one mile. Perfect! So as I got not even halfway up the road and had to walk because I was already exhausted, I noticed a HUGE group of people in bright yellow vests and tighty-pants. RUNNERS! Like, the real kind. They were in someone's yard doing group photos. I almost turned around. I felt awkward enough, but to have to run by a group of actual runners was, well, embarrassing. So I kept walking and thought I would wait until I was out of sight around the block to start running again. As I get up to the driveway, the entire hoard (like 30-40 people) started down to begin their run. I was right in the middle of them all. Um, AWKWARD! What kind of shit luck do I have? So anyway, they took a different direction than me luckily, so I could do my thing. I managed to make the loop in about 13 minutes, which isn't too bad considering my mile time in high school averaged around 10 minutes, and I don't think I have run any distance since then. I'm going to try to keep this up, at least on Saturdays for a start, but only if I can get out of bed before the rest of the world. I don't want anyone to see me! Overall, running made me feel very old, sore, and jiggly. Running sucks! I hope it gets better.

I've tried running, but to get to the point where From where it absolutely sucks to where it becomes enjoyable takes such a long time to do. So I Rollerblade instead :)

I would stick with a pair of any off brand inline skates rather then paying for a name brand like Rollerblade. :-)
