1. We got our state refund after 3 days, and spent most of it on groceries and other necessities. I pretty much stocked up on anything we use. Napkins, trash bags, soap, etc. I did some major coupon-clipping, and saved $13.40 at Target yesterday, $17.25 at Target today, and about $20 at the grocery store. I rather enjoyed myself.
2. Last weekend I watched Panic Room again. I watched it when it came out, but was re-interested in it because of the now popularity of Kristen Stewart. I have to say that I don't remember liking it as much, but when I watched it again, I really really liked it. It's sort of slow-paced, but in ways very intense. And if you haven't seen the movie, I definitely recommend.
3. Last night we watched Burn After Reading, which was really a strange movie. I liked it, but can't say I'd ever care to watch again.
4. I finished watching Season 3 of Weeds. All I can say is, Nancy is fucking retarded. Seriously. Nothing goes right for this woman, but she brings it all on herself! I find myself yelling at her more often than not.
5. I got my ordered copy of An Abundance of Katherines from BN, and can't wait to read it!
6. Has anyone read the His Dark Materials series? I found them at Goodwill, and have heard good things, so I'm excited to read those.
7. I dusted and reorganized my bookcase this weekend and realized I've read probably less than half the books on it. I keep buying books, but I read too slowly to keep up.

We just had to buy a new book shelf to hold all of our crap...I mean, books...

I doubt we've read half of them. Hah.

I'll have to take pictures after they're cleaned off!

Are you sure Burn After Reading wasn't your favorite movie ever? At least Brad Pitt's part?

I read "His Dark Materials" Series. The first one was great, the second one OK, and the third one I liked it, but was disappointed in the ending. The author once said that the series was written as an atheists response to the Narnia Books.

Burn After Reading is definitely not my favorite movie ever. I thought of it as more of a "Neal movie." But yeah, Brad Pitt was hilarious.

I haven't read the Narnia books yet either. I'm so slacking.

I just realized it's kind of embarrassing how many Nicholas Sparks books I have. He's really not that great. But I keep finding them at garage sales. What's even more embarrassing is all the VC Andrews books hiding behind Edward Gorey. I'm a sucker.
