I haven't been very good about documenting Ivy's "milestones" or things she's up to, etc. So here's a little list of what she's been doing lately.
-She has recently discovered how to pick her nose. Or rather, how to stick her finger up there. There really isn't much picking involved. It looks so funny, although I probably shouldn't encourage it.
-She doesn't say much other than mama, dada, and lots of babbling, but the other day I got her to say "Honk, Honk." Except it sounds more like, "Gongkgon."
-She can wave hi and bye, and she loves to point at everything. Sometimes she just wants you to touch her finger (E.T. style).
-She has started throwing tantrums. Or mini-tantrums. Like when you take a toy away. She doesn't like that too much. Nope she doesn't.
-More and more steps. Several times I have caught her letting go and walking 10 or so steps at a time toward something before sitting down. It's always on her own, and not when I've tricked her into it. I think she's ready. It's so cute to see such a short little person walking her wobbly little walk.
-She's ticklish on her back, and tummy, and behind her ears. She has the greatest giggle.
-Sometimes she will just stand in my lap and examine my face. She points out my eyes, nose, and mouth. Sometimes she picks my nose.
-And then sometimes, she throws herself at me and snuggles and lets me hug her.
She is the sweetest thing and I don't know what I would do without her. I look at her sometimes and can't even remember her not being here. I love her so much it HURTS. Ok, gushy mommy moment over.
