holy shit!

It's interesting how becoming a mother makes you completely comfortable to talk about poop. So I have a poop story to share, and it's one of those "it's so great to be a parent" kind of stories. Since Ivy has been sick, she has also had diarrhea, and her ear infection antibiotic has kept it going. On Saturday morning, I stayed in bed while Jer got up to change Ivy. But then I heard, "I'm going to need some help in here!" I got up and entered "Operation: Diaper Explosion." The entire back side of Ivy's onesie was one massive brown stain. Taking off her diaper and clothing just made it more messy. It was on her arms, it was on her legs. She was literally up to her ears in shit. To save her from getting it in her hair, or on her face, I decided to just cut the onesie off her. There was no saving it anyway. Then straight to the tub. I cleaned the child, Jer took care of washing/disinfecting the changing table, and tossing in a load of laundry. It was probably a half-hour cleanup.

So, now that Julie is out of the pregnancy closet, I just want to say, Congratulations, and look what you have to look forward to!!
