Last night we rented the movie Pan's Labyrinth. I didn't know much about it, except that the pictures I saw in a magazine looked cool. Good enough reason to rent, right? Well, I was unaware that the movie was in Spanish. In fact, once we heard them start speaking, Jer announced, "I'm done." Except he didn't go anywhere. So we watched the movie, and despite the fact that we had to read it all, it wasn't too bad. The movie itself was definitely interesting - worth watching at least once. It's based around this fairy tale about a girl who has to take on three tasks to reunite her soul with her father, who is the king of another realm. The setting is during a Spanish Civil War, and the whole thing is very dark and depressing. There is a lot of very graphic violence, which is tough to watch if you're any bit squeamish. The coolest and most terrifying scene is one with a character known as "The Pale Man," who apparently eats children. Definitely one of the scariest images I've ever seen.

Great Movie! I'll have to agree- the Pale Man is one of the scariest things I ever saw!
One day Em was in the mirror well never mind. It was not bad at all. It was slow enough for me to read along so that is why I stayed. It was worth reading.
