layers

I just have to rant about something for a minute. I went shopping this weekend, and there is a fashion trend out there that I absolutely just don't get. Layering. They specifically design shirts to be paper thin, so that you are forced to buy at least two of the same thing. If you only wear one, it is either see-through, or so thin that you feel exposed just because every contour of your body is visible. So I suppose this is a smart marketing move, because companies are making double the profits, but it just pisses me off! Sure, it's cute on the mannequin, but when I try it on, everything bunches and I feel ridiculous. Plus, you have to buy a bigger size to make room for the extra layer beneath. I'm getting too old for this crap. I might as well go shop in the old lady section. Ugh. Lame.
