flesh and bones, and all that other stuff
Well I finally had the chance to see the Body Worlds exhibit at the Science Museum this past weekend. The place was packed, so if you're planning to see it (before Labor Day), buy your tickets ahead of time. We got there at 1:00, and couldn't get in until 5:45. But I think it was worth the wait, even if the rest of the Science Museum is extremely boring. The exhibit had examples of just about any organ you can imagine. The bodies were incredible. They even had an entire section dedicated to fetal development. It was definitely worth seeing, even if we had to stand in line another 20 minutes to go through it. They had fetuses in different stages of development, fetuses with abnormalities, even embryos up to 8 weeks old. But the highlight for me was the woman at about 8 months pregnant, with the baby inside. It was absolutely fascinating. Just amazing to see. I'm very glad I went.
