So first of all, I wanted to share my waistline at 6 weeks. I'm not showing yet of course, which is why I wanted to preserve this memory. Although it's not the greatest waist to start off with, I have the feeling I'm NEVER going to see it again.

Long ago (9 years to be exact), after Grace was born, my mom gave me the pregnancy bible, What to Expect When You're Expecting. Now I've finally been able to take it off the shelf and start following it. So far, I've been going through the normal pregnancy stuff. I've been off and on nauseous over the past week, but it seems to be getting worse. No vomiting yet though, and I've bought some saltines to hopefully offset it. Mostly noticeable is my extreme exhaustion. I have been soooo tired. Normally I would stay up til about midnight, and now I'm in bed at 9:30, sleeping til about 9 in the morning.
The worst part about being pregnant is the fact that I need to change my diet. I'm sort of lost on this one because my diet now is basically the opposite of what I should be eating. I understand the no drinking and no smoking part (not a problem), but when I read No Chocolate and No Sugar, I thought it must me some sort of sick joke. I'll have to go back and read it again. I'm trying to eat more fruits and things, so I am making an effort. But it will be tough. And especially tough for me will be the gaining weight part. But it's all worth it.
