the big day

Today is the day. I have to fire the daycare lady. I'm just going to use the cat excuse to make it easier, and to hopefully avoid major awkwardness/hostility. I just want to keep things civil for the next few weeks while Ivy still goes there. Then she will be starting at a new daycare on August 13th. We managed to find the perfect place, which I hope turns out as great as it seems. The place was spotlessly clean, with no pets. The ladies (the place is run by two people) were very very nice, and actually seemed to like children. (Our current one is always yelling at her kids.) Also, we managed to get a cheaper rate than they actually charge, because the one girl gave us the wrong price on the phone. When we realized how much they actually charge, I mentioned what she told us on the phone, and the other lady said they are pretty flexible and they could work with that. I couldn't believe it. So $60 a week, when it should have been $100! I just hope Ivy will adjust easily. The whole thing is just a bit stressful.
